According to Twitch, the president's account violated the platform's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The account was banned for "hateful conduct" that was aired on the stream and the content has been taken down. The stream in question was a rebroadcast of one of his rallies.

In an article from The Verge a spokesperson for Twitch said of the suspension, "We do not make exceptions for political or newsworthy content, and will take action on content reported to us that violates our rules." It is unclear at this time how long the suspension will be in place.
