After skipping E3 this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan is finally giving PlayStation fans some long-awaited details about the PS5!

The PS5 is set for a holiday 2020 release, which means it will directly compete with Microsoft's next generation gaming console that is due out around the same time. However, there is no EXACT date for it's release.

The controller will be very similar to the Dualshock 4 that came out with the PS4.

There will also be a complete hardware overhaul with the PS5 including a solid state drive that will reduce load times.

Games that will ship with the PS5 have not been named yet but we do know that it will have backwards compatibility, so no need to worry PS4 fans!
